Is this a subscription?

No. It is a one-time purchase for a perpetual license. Buy it once and it is yours.

What happens if I stop using it?

Nothing is taken from you. Restore and verify keep working regardless. A license is only needed to write new archives.

Do I need a tape drive to start?

No. The virtual tape drive is built in, so you can set up and evaluate the full 3-2-1 workflow first, then buy hardware.

Can I move my license to a new machine?

Yes. Deactivate on the old machine, then activate on the new one. One machine active at a time.

Is the archive computer offline?

That works. Save an activation request to a USB stick, turn it into a license file at hiberden.app/activate from any connected computer, and carry it back. The archive computer never needs internet.

What is your refund policy?
